The beginners classes introduce you to Object Art Restoration and conservation, its ethics, and its history, as well as proper materials. Text Box:     Learn to Restore . . . . . .  A Career in Object Art Restoration The American Academy of Ceramics Restoration, (A.A.R.C.) was formulated in 1997 in an effort to  elevate the knowledge and education of  restorers in the United States. Its intent is to make available the most advanced European methods, and introduce the latest and most accepted products recognized by museums and conservation studios alike. Classes or apprenticeship programs are available by request, on a private basis or in a classroom setting. There are many classes available to assist with any level of education. The beginners classes introduce you to restoration and conservation, its ethics, and history, and the proper materials to use. You will learn the basics of the various steps in restoration by using hands-on methods in class. Advanced classes are available which teach you techniques and "tricks of the trade" which are seldom, if ever shared between restorers. Private one on one classes can be developed taking into consideration your level of expertise. This curriculum is designed for you alone, so the presentation of material which not necessary to your advancement does not occupy your time.
